Need help sorting your garden but not sure where to start? I offer practical, down-to-earth garden design that’s easy to follow — and easy on your budget. Whether your garden needs a fresh start or just a few tweaks, I’ll create a clear plan tailored to your space and lifestyle. You can then bring it to life yourself, or hand it over to a local gardener or landscaper.

By separating the garden design from the build, you stay in control of your costs. Most of your budget goes straight into your garden — not on the hefty design fees of larger landscaping companies. Smaller local landscapers appreciate having a solid plan to quote from, and it’s easy to compare quotes from several companies too.

You get the best of both worlds — the skills of a creative and practical garden designer, AND skilled local tradespeople to carry it out if required.

Choose what works best for you — online or in person. You can send me photos and we’ll chat by phone or video before I create your design plan, or if you’re near Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Wiltshire or surrounding areas, I can visit your home and go through everything with you. If you need extra support, I can also help guide you through the process, from comparing quotes to finding the right people, so it all feels much less overwhelming.

Designed for DIY… you will bring the changes to life yourself, or use your own trades. I’m here to give you clarity, direction and a practical plan.

These are a simple, stress-free way to approach DIY makeovers and redesigns. They are a lighter, more affordable version of my full garden makeover services below, and are designed for smaller, simpler projects that need ideas and layout plans rather than detailed fully specified plans.

I am finding that clients with larger gardens are using these images/plans to work on a section of their garden in their own time, then booking another image and plan before they start the next area. 

This more in-depth Consultation will be tailored to your requirements. You may want to work through ideas you already have, with input from a practical, artistic designer, before you go ahead with your own project.  Or you may be starting a design from scratch, and need someone to walk through the whole process with you.  Or anything in between.  The Consultation may be in person or via video call depending on location and they are the starting point for any project. We will discuss everything in depth – requirements, ideas, suggestions, solutions – and I will create a Garden Layout Plan summarising the ideas. (See an example below.)

Inspiration Images… £25 per extra image… feel free to send a different view of the garden, so you can see our plans from another angle.

Specification Plan… £125… detailing materials, plants, design points etc. (See example below)

Project coordination services…  £55 per hour… providing support, liaising with trades etc
