Need help shaping your garden but not sure where to start? I offer practical, down-to-earth garden design that’s easy to follow — and easy on your budget.
Whether your garden needs a fresh start or just a few tweaks, I’ll create a clear plan tailored to your space and lifestyle. You can then bring it to life yourself, or hand it over to a local gardener or landscaper.
Why book a designer?
By separating the garden design from the build, you stay in control of your costs. Most of your budget goes straight into your garden — not on the hefty design fees of larger landscaping companies. Smaller local landscapers appreciate having a solid plan to quote from, and it’s easy to compare quotes from several companies too.
You get the best of both worlds — the skills of a creative and practical garden designer, AND skilled local tradespeople to carry it out if required.
How it works…
You choose what suits you best:
- Online: Send me some photos and we’ll chat over phone or video. I’ll then create your design plan.
- In-person: If you’re near Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Wiltshire, or nearby areas, I can visit you to walk through everything together.
Need more help? I can also support you through the process, helping you find the right people, compare quotes, and stay on track — so you never feel overwhelmed.

Consultation and Design Plan… online or in person… £265
The Consultation will be tailored to your requirements. You may just want to chat through ideas you already have, with input from a practical, artistic designer, before you go ahead with your own project. Or you may be starting a design from scratch, and need someone to walk through the whole process with you. Or anything in between. The Consultation may be in person or via video call depending on location and they are the starting point for any project. We will discuss everything in depth – requirements, ideas, suggestions, solutions – and I will create a design plan summarising the ideas.
Further Services (following a Consultation)…
Visualisation Image… £45… a 3D view of a chosen area in the garden. (See example below)
Specification Plan… £125… detailing materials, plants, design points etc. (See example below)
Project coordination services… by quotation… providing support, liaising with trades etc
